9. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Elevated Sports complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). Children under 13 cannot create their own account on the Platform. Information about a child under 13 is collected only with verifiable parental consent and only through the Parent Team Hub flow described below.
Parent Team Hub
The Parent Team Hub lets a parent or legal guardian (signed in to their own “fan” account) join a coach's team on behalf of a child who is under 13. To join, the parent enters a Parent Join Code shared by the coach, provides limited information about their child, and acknowledges parental consent before the record is created.
What we collect about a child
When a parent adds a child through the Parent Team Hub, we collect only:
- Child's first and last name
- Child's birthdate (used to verify the child is under 13 and to compute age for team grouping)
- Optional: grade level, jersey number, and any notes the parent chooses to share with the coach
- A timestamp recording when parental consent was acknowledged
- The team the child is being joined to and the team's coach
We do not collect photos, contact information, geolocation, biometric identifiers, or any other category of personal information directly from the child. The child has no account, no login, and no public profile.
How we use this information
Child information is used solely to: deliver the team-management features the parent has opted into (roster visibility for the coach, schedule notifications, optional waivers); compute the child's eligibility for the team's age group; and confirm parental consent was given. We do not use child information for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share child information with third parties for their own use.
Who can see a child's information
A child's record in the Parent Team Hub is visible only to: (a) the parent who created it, (b) the coach who manages the specific team the parent joined, and (c) authorized Elevated Sports personnel for technical support and abuse-prevention purposes. Other Platform users cannot see child records, search for them, or contact them directly.
Parental rights
A parent or legal guardian may at any time:
- Review the information we have collected about their child by opening the Parent Team Hub in the app.
- Edit or update any information they previously provided.
- Deletethe child's record from a team. Deletion removes the record from the coach's roster and from our active systems. Tapping “Remove” in the Parent Team Hub performs this immediately.
- Refuse further collection by not joining additional teams. No child data is collected outside the Parent Team Hub flow.
- Email us at support@elavatedsolutions.com to make any of the above requests by email instead of in-app, or to ask questions about how we handle child information.
Retention
Child information is retained for as long as the child remains on a team in the Parent Team Hub. When a parent removes a child from a team, the corresponding record is deleted from active systems within a reasonable period. Backups containing the data are overwritten on the standard backup rotation cycle.
If you believe a child's information has been provided to us without verifiable parental consent, please email support@elavatedsolutions.com and we will remove that information promptly.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how you use our Platform. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
